Welcome Group Members: Global

Hello and welcome to the Community Center.

It is fantastic to welcome you to this new platform, a place you can come together and discuss with one another. You will find several different categories or as they are known 'Discussion Rooms' here in the Community Center. These include a specific room for 'basic' help related questions, a space for New Hosts and Hosts to share your experiences and a section called Where in the World which is specifically for non-hosting related topics.

We noticed that you were very active in Groups and we hope you will feel as at home here in the CC. We have prepared some 'tags' to help you navitage each other when posting different discussions:

- Airbnb Motorcyclists: 'Motorcyclists'

- Airbnb Product Updates & Improvements: 'Updates & Improvements'

- Anecdotes and Stories of being a host: 'Anecdotes and Stories'

- Bearbnb: 'Bearbnb'

- Boring Bits: 'Boring Bits'

- Garden-tastic experiences for Guests: 'Garden'

- Gay Friendly Global Community: 'Gay Friendly'

- Hosting Long-Term and Non-Vactioning Guests: 'Long Term'

- House Swap: 'House Swap'

- Performing Arts Fans and Artists: 'Performing Arts'

- Photographers: 'Photographers'

- Slow Food: 'Food'

- The Sharing Economy: 'Sharing Economy'

- Travellers & Explorers: 'Travellers and Explorers'

- Wine Lovers All Over The World: 'Wine Lovers'

- Writers, Artists and Performers: 'Writers Artists and Performers'

- Vegan/Vegetarian Hosts and Guests: 'Vegan and Vegetarian'

If your group is not listed above, please don't worry - go wild and create you own tag (these tags are just suggestions, see what works for you). If you let others know it will make it easier for you all to keep track of the discussions.

How to add a tag...

To tag you message, add your keywords related to your post topic in the tag box at the bottom (see image below).

For posts you have already made, you can go back and add a tag to this, just click on "Add a tag" at the bottom of your post.

Top Tip - remember to click on the follow button to receive notifications on new posts and replies. You can decide what you receive, so you can follow each 'room' section or an individual thread. The world's your oyster 🙂

If you have any questions, feel free to reply to this post.

@Lizzie sounds like you are exploring the possibilities of a more user-friendly interface.

the use of tags is a good idea.

Of course it is a great idea to add tags like "vegan", etc. helps users find information relevant to them.

So, how about returning keyword search or enabling tagging to guests looking for lodgings, as it used to be? Imagine how helpful it would be for vegans to find vegan households? Or people to find tree houses or Tiny houses or houses with parrots?

How shotsighted that it is it is seen as necessary here but not in the booking search process!
