Host should be notified if it's a Split Payment inquiry

Why does AirBnB think it's ok to require a Host to accept Split Payments when it blocks our calendar for 72 hours AND if the inquiry doesn't make payment, there's no penalty. It's basically giving the person a 72 hour window and blocking us from accepting other guests.

We aren't notified and have no way of cancelling without calling in. AirBnB's suggestion to me was to ask every inquiry if they plan on splitting payment ahead of time to know not to accept.

Absolutley unacceptable.

There have been already many 'lively' threads here about this new feature. In a nutshell, most hosts consider it absurd, and some (me for example) consider it yet another example of Airbnb placating to guests that are the most slow-witted at the expense of all hosts; after all who (group or individual) needs 72 hours to click a few buttons to book.
