Too bad airbnb will not refund to customers who could not reach their destinations due to the weather.   Will never use Airbnb again!!

Hi @Janet8,

Have you tried calling them to see if there is anything they will do for you?  Their contact number is on your itinerary/confirmation.

As a side note, it might be better in the future whether you use Airbnb or any other booking site or hotel to purchase travel insurance.

If you had booked a hotel at a non-refundable rate, the situation would have been exactly the same.  Your host was not resposible for the bad weather, so I do not think blaming anyone is fair.  You could have cancelled through the site and depending on your host's cancellation policy, maybe gotten a partial refund.
