Why doesn't AirBNB allow me to add extra charge for TOT for listing rather than hide and inflate our nightly rate?

Why doesn't AirBNB allow me to add extra charge for TOT for listing rather than hide and inflate our nightly rate?

We are in a city that Airbnb does NOT collect TOT on our behalf.   We would like to call it out as an extra charge in listing - rather than HIDE the TOT and inflate our nightly rate.    We don't see a way to do this on the Airbnb site as an Extra Charge.   Why is this?  We strongly feel Airbnb needs to allow us to be transparent about  TOT charges.  It's seems illegal to require us to hide them so customers are not aware.  If Airbnb can't collect TOT on behalf of all hosts, then they need to make provisions to allow those hosts to call out separately.   Has anyone sought legal council on this?

@Barry332

For some reason these options are not available on the Airbnb US website.

In Europe we have option to add different kind of taxes in a menu, which can be found under option "local taxes and laws".
