@Helen350 I'm very glad to hear you've had your payment. I haven't and I've had the usual unhelpful response from Airbnb.
first person said - oh it can take up to 48-72 hrs so I cant escalate it until then. no that's wrong. that's for bank payments not PayPal. PayPal is 1 working day. they eventually said they would get a supervisor to call me back. I'm still waiting. its now 6pm.
next person didn't want to talk at all just wanted to escalate to specialists to investigate. acknowledged I was correct but was not very communicative.
Supervisor did not call. they sent me a message asking how they could help! D'oh talk about silly.
So I phoned a 3rd time. Spoke to case manager number 3. he also requested a call back. I pointed out it was now 6 hours since the supervisee was asked to call. call not message. I asked what happened to the specialist escalation and he said that had been done but may take up to 48hrs for them to come back.
So 6pm 2 days after check in I still have not been paid.
it is very tempting to emblazon across the top of my listing the Airbnb owes me $212 in guest money - please book via xxxx xxxx
