Local taxes

@I live in Fl and use Lodgify as my channel manager.  I have unsuccessfully been able to collect county taxes from guests and have Airbnb remit to me. State taxes they collect and pay on my behalf. That’s perfect. Lodgify says it’s set up correctly. Airbnb though I’ve been thru 10, yes 10 customer service agents and can not get a straight answer. Two have said I’m ineligible to collect local taxes but will not explain why, they just pass me off. This is not rocket science. I’m in fl, and walton county where my condo is wants 6%, I just need to collect that from each guest and it get paid out to me. Anyone help?

Hi Colette! I'm in Santa Rosa County and also use Lodgify. Would love to connect with you. Our county is not on the list either and being a new host, I've had to get creative this first couple months to make sure I didn't lose money on the 5%. I do have challenges with calendar syncing with the Lodgify settings but I've used Lodgify for a couple years and they are always more helpful than the AirBNB folks have been so far. Wonder if you know if there is a delay on the calendar syncing? Hope to chat soon. Kristal
