Low listing visibility - no bookings for more than three weeks

I am experiencing very low amount of bookings. The previous reservation was three weeks ago. No bookings since that time.

I noticed the listing doesn't appear on the map immediately, a few zoom-ins required while other listings in the area are being showed up instantly. Perhaps, Airbnb algorithm decreased the visibility because I am not Super Host already (got 4.75 rating by April).

I updated and added some new photos. Also lowered the price a little bit, but it's already pretty low. I know the renovation is quite old, it doesn't look very attractive, but the location is in the city center and it is a very good value-price balance comparing to similar listings in the area.

Any suggestions on how to attract guests? May I apply for mentorship by a Superhost Ambassador like I did before?

Hi @Muslim4 👋

How are you?  It's been a while since you posted and I'm wondering how things are a few weeks later?

Thanks, Rebecca! There were no bookings in April. I needed to apply a special offer and make a discount. Now there are bookings.

Hi @Muslim4

Great to hear you have bookings now! What kind of special offers and discounts did you add? 😊

Just a regular special offer which became available starting from May. Also working on improving the service. Started offering a free chocolate plate with a country flag on it: another local host shared this idea with me. Added a welcome note as well as upgraded 'House Rules', printed them out with a colored printer. They look much more attractive now. Here it is:

Thank you so much for your support!

I love that @Muslim4 😊

It's really inviting and enforces that 'home away from home' feeling! The colours are beautiful and calming too so great choice using a colour printer. I would feel reassured seeing that in an Airbnb I stayed in.

The chocolate plate sounds amazing. Are they made locally or bought in? Everyone loves a freebie - especially free chocolate 🍫

I found this free 'Welcome note' template in Canva, which is a graphic software like Photoshop. I also like the relaxing colours and overall style.

Chocolates: they are made locally, the chocolate factory is in our city. It is so amazing indeed, as well as symbolic - really make sense because its wrapping is how the actual country flag looks. There were also some with the name of the city, 'Almaty', but I couldn't find them recently.
