Sales tax paid on guest fees
Air bnb pays to my state sales tax, that sales tax they include my guest fees also on my account. Are the guest fees included in my gross income of my rentals ? Doing my taxes and need to know if I should deduct guest fees from gross income from rental

@Margaret582 If you were to receive a 1099 from AirBnB, it would reflect the gross earnings of your property, which would include the guest fees that are paid to AirBnB.
When I do my schedule E, as advised by my accountant, I report the gross earnings of my property including the AirBnB fees which I then deduct under the Management line. The percentage that is paid for the Host Service Fee is put into the Other line, or you can deduct it on Other professional fees. I report the "paid by AirBnB" State, County and Municipal taxes as well -- my experience is that a 1099 will include those amounts in the gross income.
I am not a tax professional, so please consult with a tax professional if you have any more questions.
