Want renters if you are close to Chapel Hill, NC?

Hello friends,

I had a reservation for my house in Chapel Hill, North Carolina for May 9-11, 2025 (note the year) but my elderly mother is going to be moving in with me later this year, so I am going to need to shut down/pause my AirBnB operation for a while. This includs my needing to cancel the reservation for this group of six who reserved my house. This is a group of folks who, I'm told, the youngest is in their 60s, so likely not a partying group. They do have two small dogs, I believe 8 and 12 pounds and the contact of the group tells me they take great care with the dogs and house. 

I believe I was getting $599/night for a 3-BR, 2-BA, 1400 sq ft older house, so that may be a good starting point for negotiations depending on what you have to offer and where.

Since you posted a while ago, I wanted to ask, what did you end up doing with the reservation, and how did you communicate this to the guests?
