Occupancy taxes not being submitted for the state of Connecticut

Hello Community,

I just received a letter from the Connecticut Dept of Revenue Service stating that an occupancy tax filing hasn't been done in over a year. My gross earnings show taxes are being collected from guests, and supposedly remitted on my behalf, and I supplied Airbnb with my tax information when they forced us into this mess.

I contacted Airbnb via phone and through chat, and each time was told it was being escalated, and then promptly cut off from the conversation. Has anyone in my state had this issue or have advice or a contact at Airbnb that can help with this? I can see from prior conversations this isn't something new - which is awful to hear considering we have been dedicated superhosts since 2012! I would hate to discontinue our relationship with Airbnb, but I will not risk losing our home due to a lien - all at the fault of airbnb.

@Lynsey0 Whoa, I just noticed this post. How did everything turn out? As a host, this is very concerning.
