Payout

PLEASE READ.

I would like to share my experience with other hosts who may have had similar problems.

I have rented out my villa last month for most of the month, and have not recieved my payment until now. MY PAYMENTS ARE OVER 35 DAYS LATE!!!!!! Airbnb owes me over $3,000.

When I try contacting them, its almost impossibe to reach them and when I do get hold of someone they are not helpful at  all. They either say they'll forward my complaint to a specialist, or that they can't give me a time-frame on when the situation will be resolved.

In the latest message from the Airbnb support team, (today, going into the second month of not being payed) somebody actually told me they cant guarantee this issue will be resolved!!!

I dont understand, are they actually saying I wont be recieving my money? I feel so cheated, and like I'm being kept in the dark about my hard earned money. Airbnb is very quick to block listings, but not so quick when it comes to payouts or helping their customers.

I am absolutely shocked at this experience to say the least. I will keep persisting until it is resolved and will share my story on all social media platforms to alert others who may be considering Airbnb hosting that this is the reality they might have to deal with. After this experience I will never again use Airbnb for what they have done to me as their customer. This was hard earned money.  Because of their negligence I have late bills and have been unable to do reparations in my property to rectify damage caused to the villa from previous guests.

hi @Yousra7 🙂

This is from the airbnb help section on pay outs :

When will I get my payout?

Airbnb typically releases your payout about 24 hours after your guest’s scheduled check-in time. The time it takes for the funds to arrive in your account depends on your payout method.

If your guest is staying for 28 or more nights, payouts for that reservation are released monthly.

If you're a new host, we may hold your payouts for 30 days after your first reservation is confirmed. If your first reservation is more than 30 days away, your payout will be released 24 hours after your guest's scheduled check-in. This will apply to any payouts scheduled to be released during those 30 days.

Keep calling airbnb they should help you and guide you though the process.

HI Yousra,

Have your pauout issues solve yet?  Hope to hear your update!

My case: I suppose to receive the payout in early August 2018, and my guest has paid AirBnB already. I called and used AirbnB Help online message countless time.  So far, I am still getting no where!

It is a very frustrating experience.  I took my list off from AirBnB!

What a nightmare!  I'm new to this and only have had 2 guests for total of 5 nights so far.  I read your post and am concerned about how difficult it is to get a live person on the phone.  I cant figure out if my bank account is linked.  I see a penny deposit to my acct.  I dont know if there is anything else I need to do.

Hi Gia,

if you have a penny deposit that is likely them testing your bsb and account details are valid. So the fact you have seen a penny deposit is a good sign.

you should also be able to go to your transaction history and look at pending payments, select one and look at the detail, it should have your bank account that they will pay to.

Gia,

That micro payment is to test that the bank account is set up correctly.  It should all work for you.
