Disgruntled and perhaps a bit confused as to how Airbnb could have told an inquiry that my location was booked without me accepting the offer?
I have not changed my settings. I most always respond to listings with a short note to explain me having to decline during the same 6 months every year.
Yes, this year I was late in blocking out the dates but I had declined the couple with a note- explaining that it is always booked from Nov-April so their Jan/Feb dates would not work. Yet when the person went back to the listing and clicked on it- apparently it booked it for her. Can someone explain why I am now being charged $50 for the cancellation and have a smudged record that looks like I cancelled on a tenant within months of their arrival?? This does not seem fair!
