Number of guests removed from Itinery

As of the 12th of January Airbnb decided to remove the number of guests from the itinery. The number of guests can only be seen in the confirmation email and not via the intinery on Airbnb.

I find this absolutly rediculous. I have spoken to Airbnb about this and they have stated that this is the way it will be from now on.

I often have to instruct guests to add guests to their reservation as they say 'me and my four friends ' yet there is only one guest on the reservation.
Not only will that mean i do not receive the correct amount of money (if i charge for more guests) it will mean apartments are prepared with the incorrect amount of linens and towels etc.

Airbnb do not seem to take my concerns seriously. Rather than solely using the Airbnb platflorm, i will now need to cross check all bookings with my emails.

This just seems like an unessessary waste of time. Is it that hard just to put it back on the itinery?
