What amenity do you provide that guests rave about?

Room

Hello everyone,

It is crazy how quickly a month can fly by! The August Host Newsletter went out last week and this was the first newsletter to include comments directly from your Newsletter posts here in the CC, which is fantastic to see. If you missed it, or if you want to rejoin the thread, the discussion continues so do take a look: 'How you use your hosting income'. 🙂

We are now looking forward to the October Host Newsletter and this month's subject is: What amenity/equipment do you provide that guests rave about?

Feel free to share photos and more comments, and we will feature some of them in the newsletter!

I can't wait to hear more. 🙂

Lizzie

It would help people that don't know about the "News Letter" to provide a link to it.

Good point @Mike77

As the newsletter goes out via email, there isn't a link I can include here I'm afraid - however, any host who has agreed to receive email communication from Airbnb should already be signed up for this. Anyone wishing to double-check this can access this in their Airbnb 'Account Settings' tab and then 'Email Settings'.

Thank you. 🙂

@Lizzie

Two suggestions.

1. Fix the list of "Lizzie's" that come up when you do a search so that you name is on top.

2. The "newsletter" should be posted here in the forum as a "NewsLetter - Aug. 2016" ... So that people can search for them and there is a copy of it kept in the forum.

Thanks @Mike77, for your suggestions.

Yes, I completely agree about the mention function and this is on the top of my wishlist, I believe it is a trickier job than it sounds, but it is something we are looking to improve.

I like the idea about posting the newsletter here, I will pass it on to my teammate who puts this together and see what we can do.

In the meantime, since the last time we spoke here, I now have a form which has been created for hosts to sign up for the Host Newsletter: Sign me up to receive the Host Newsletter. I will also add this to my original post.

all our guests seem to like the fact that we have a well stocked fridge and always a lot of fruit and candy. also if they have little kids we always have boxes of cereal.

90% of the guests to the treehouse use the floating/swinging bed.  They could use a regular loft bed, but they don't.

I have provided a few basic items from travel size shampoo, toothpaste, toothbrush, conditioner, etc. Guests who tend to accidentally forget an item or two, they love the fact that they don't need to run to store to grab these items.

Utility-basket.jpg

I also provide an array of snacks that guests can consume at breakfast or they can use to have a full meal or two as well. Quite a few of my guests have been really happy to see that if they check in at a late night hour after a long flight, they don't need to go hungry to bed. They can eat something decent. I also provide a cold drink or two, a fruit, etc. I spend maybe about 30 to 40 bucks in a month on getting these items but the satisfaction that I get when guests appreciate it, is worth the money and more.
