Flaky host and/or was it because I'm Black?!?

I just booked an AirBNB on 4/22 @ 5:30pm CST,  for a  Memphis trip to visit my family. The host Keyuna cancels an hour later!  I have a good rating from a previous host in Miami, so I don't know what the problem is/was.  In this day and age do we really need to break out the Green Book again? Or could it just be a flaky host? Please chime in on your experience with host cancellations/flaky hosts.🙄

@Lena5227   I am sorry this happened to you, and I sincerely hope that the cancellation was not ‘race’ related. Airbnb take discrimination very seriously indeed.  If you used ‘instant book’ then the host can cancel penalty free, but only under certain circumstances.  Otherwise, their dates will remain blocked and other penalties to them will apply.
