Airbnb won't process my payment

I am trying to pay a very small additional charge for a city tax. All attempts to pay using my credit and debit are being declined. The banks are clear that the Airbnb system is at fault, but I can't get through to an actual person at Airbnb to resolve. Anyone else experiencing the same issue?

Is it for a Booking you are making as a Guest?

Or as a Host?

Hi Helen, I'm a guest. My booking is made and paid for. I'm trying to pay for a small additional charge that has arisen ( a local tax)and Airbnb can't seem to process my payment. Have tried two different cards, checked with bank and still no luck!
