Does Air bnb have secret guest come in to analyze your property?

I’m curious if Air bnb sends out guests to analyze your property ? I just had an extremely weird set of circumstances happen with a guest.  I feel as though I am being tested on everything.  It’s three days out and I’m still getting text from the guest letting me know about odd little things that are wrong with the house.  Which in turn I send a maintenance guy to check these things out and nothing needed to be repaired.

Im sure they do, I think I have had one it was a couple of years back a guy booked my apartment for 9 days but he turned up with virtually no luggage he was alone which is not unusual here.

Even guest who book for 2 or 3 days have more luggage than him,

My husband sussed him out, He said he was here to do Muay Thai training but he didn't have any gear.

All our guest are International tourist we get to know the amount of luggage they bring.

Even the cleaner commented on that guest it looked like the apartment wasn't being used.

I call these 'home inspectors', a special type of pain-in-the-rear' type of guest. It never dawned on me Airbnb had anything to do with them.

If there is, I want that job. It would be so helpful for your fist guest to be exactly that, fresh eyes, to assess and suggest improvements.

Well, it is possible, but then again, there are other explanations for the guest's behaviour. I've had these types very occasionally and they are just serial complainers, and often people who are unhappy in their own lives.

I have found that guests who are also hosts are often the worst. It's almost like they want to demonstrate that they do things better. Of course, that is not always the case, but it's happened to me a few times now. Funny thing is, whenever it did, I looked at their listings and realised I had much better ratings/reviews than them, so I didn't take it seriously.

But yes, could be an 'airbnb inspector'. I just doubt that they would then complain about non-existent maintenance issues, unless they are there to assess your response as a host. More likely, they would send inspectors to places that seem suspect, or where guests have complained. But then Airbnb don't always do things in a logical way.
