Airbnb provision

We are living in weird and confusing times .

what I heard these days that people would like to cancel a stay in my place but not doing that yet because they still have pay a provision to airbnb . I find that very alarming .

I get nothing and airbnb still wants a provision . 
Very alarming because people already know they want to cancel but not doing that yet 

because they still have to pay airbnb . In these days that gives a false message to the hosts .
