[FESTIVAL] GAME - Sustainability Word Search
Hi everyone,
Sustainability seems to be one of those topics that people love to talk about and share things they’re doing to lessen their footprint. Here is a word search for words you may hear often about the subject.
We’ve hidden 29 words related to Sustainability, can you spot them all? One rule though: for everyone to take part, please guess only 1 word at a time.
Please note that words with spaces are combined into one.
Let the hunt... begin!

@Emiel1 are you propergating them for your garden, or for sale or gift giving.
I tend to put my cuttings or pieces in a pot all together untill they get started or I just push them in the ground in the garden not much love is given to them. My theory is if they survive it is meant to be there.
Do you use milk cartons, you can recycle these for potting pots then just take out the bottom and you can plant them straight in the garden. Also, you can use egg cartons for starting seeds off then cut them up then when plant is started you plant them in base in a pot or garden or you can cut them up before hand fill with soil and put seeds in. A bit more fiddly but less messy.
Reuse is on the puzzle for someone to find.
Happy puzzling

I use them all for my own purpose, they will going to fill the garden area around the airbnb.
The photo shows about 30% of the plants. Most of them are "Campanula's', which goes into borders and starting to flower soon.
I indeed use egg-cartons, especially for starting the sunflowers.
Almost everything which contains food can be reused for gardening purpose.
Why buy grow pots and at the same time throw yochurt beakers away ?
You will see some sun-flowers in the front, some of them are growing in used coffee-beakers from Mac-Donalds.. They will be re-planted next to the house and will reach a 4,00 to 5,00 mtr height in August.
Thank for the tips.
So now we like to see a photo of making hay !

@Emiel1 @Laurelle3 Reading your posts and seeing your photos reminded me that I have some plants in my flat that need to be repotted ...
I'll do some research before trying my hand at it, but might come to you if I need more advice as you both seem to be very experienced with this! 🙂

"Making hay" is what i thought is the process of collecting dried grass from a mowed field to be used in future for feeding animals.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hay
But what you are doing seems to be something different ?
Please provide some more explaination about "making hay" in Australia.

@Emiel1 "Making hay while the sunshines" we have a saying here in Australia and I am sure it is in other countries around the world.
Making hay is taking advantage while the sunshine and it is not wise to cut hay while it is wet. Hence, i have taken advantage of the sunshine with all the rain. We have only had a few days of sunshine over the last month. The ground is soaking wet, the ground is saturated and water lying on the ground, boggy and when you walk on the lawn it is chewed up with human traffic, so we try not to walk on it.
Sunshine is good for me as I am enthusiastic to get out and play in the dirt and the plants.love the warmth of the sunshine to grow. Also the worm fertilizer gold liquid gets washed away..
I hope this meaning helps with explaining of my way effort of being environmentally resorceful while the sunshines.

@Emiel1 @Laurelle3 Farmers also like to cut hay in sunshine (not just when it is dry) because it contains more goodness than 'cloudy cut hay'. Bizarre but true.

I found this while I was looking for words for environment because we don't have a list which makes it a greater challenge thanks @Sybe
The environment is where we all meet,
We all have a mutual interest,
It is the one thing that we all share.

@Laurelle3 You're right, with the different time zones we're all playing at different hours - I think that's quite nice though, we're looking at the game on a rotation and continually making progress!
I've updated the grid with your latest finds, we're down to 13 words left to be found. 🌻

@Sybe are the two words that overlap Green 17 across and D down and Renewable 17 across and E down and both are related to Energy which is 17 Across H down. Backwards. I think this makes 3 in one or triple jackpot.
The other green is 12 across B down backwards. I put it out there and there was no takers.
There was no takers for Reuse 11 across B. down diagonal down.
It is night time for the fowl to roost and the owls to come out to search for their prey.
