Anyone Here Hosting Boutique Camp Sites?

Hey folks,

I’m currently hosting a semi-off-grid tiny cabin on my 5KM wooded lot—and to be honest, it’s taken off better than I expected, especially considering I launched in January (and winters here aren’t exactly gentle!).

The long-term plan is to build four more cabins, and I’ve already mapped out where they’ll go. But here’s my thought…

While I’m building them one at a time, I’m wondering if the other three clearings could serve as rustic, private campsites in the meantime. Has anyone here done something similar? Are private campsites something Airbnb supports or encourages? And if so, what are some thoughtful touches that could make them especially appealing? (Aside from a wood-fired hot tub—I know, I know... one day! 😂)

I’d love any guidance, tips, or lessons learned from those who’ve hosted campers or built out a boutique-style campground experience.

Thanks in advance for any wisdom you’re willing to share.

Thanks, Joe

it will work for Airbnb I believe but check their Help  website.

I don't know what amenities you would need to put in. Or local government /planning permissions.

You'd also  have to look at likely supply and demand , costs for set up and facilities, managing the site . Etc  @Joseph2571

good luck

You need to be providing accommodation if you want to list on Airbnb @Joseph2571

lots of other sites you can use if you want to provide land for people to camp on.

Thanks @Helen3, Do you think providing tents at each site could be a good workaround? I’m still pretty new to hosting and really trying to focus on getting things right on this platform before branching out to others.
