Hello there hosts!

Having a hot tub can be a fantastic addition to your rental property. It offers a serene space for guests to unwind, relax and indulge in a rejuvenating soak ๐Ÿง–๐Ÿปโ€

Itโ€™s a great way to attract guests all-year round regardless of the season. It provides a cosy spot to soak up the scenery in winter or enjoy a refreshing dip in the summer ๐ŸŒž

Additionally, having this amenity can make your listing stand out from other properties,  drawing more potential guests and boost your booking rates ๐Ÿ“ˆ

@Sophia Hot tubs may well attract guests but they are environmental vandals. They are also party magnets so you won't be seeing one at our listings anytime soon.

Hi Sophia,

I share your love of hot tubs and have one at our Airbnb.

Having said that I also agree with Mike and Jane's reply.

We have had issues already within a little over a month of Airbnb experiences.

One guest broke off two child proof locks plus one of our cocktail glasses into the spa and didn't advise us. Lots of alcohol was consumed and it was a big clean up including draining the spa and refilling in a limited amount of time to ensure it was completely free of glass and safe.

We are on the coast and have been finding even though we've got a lovely outdoor shower with hot and cold water guests don't wash off their feet so they bring sand into the spa.  As it turned out that was the only way my husband found the glass because the guests left so much sand. While cleaning the sand he found what may have been a really bad safety issue to another guest (so hard to see shards of clear glass in spa water).  Yet another guest had a very late night in the spa after a relatives funeral and woke all the neighbors with loud abuse and awful drunkenness so bad that the police were called out. If I didn't already have it there I certainly wouldn't put one in as it's much more to clean as well. Hope that insight helps you and perhaps guests in your neck of the woods are better than that : - ) Good Luck
