Last minute reservation

Hello, our reservation was cancelled by the host last Friday evening. We had to wait until today to re-book b/c we needed to get the refund back first. We have a group of 14 so it’s upsetting that we are unable to book a new place  due to it being a large group. Any advice on how we can re-book a place asap?

@Kristina531  That is definitely a stressful situation; sorry it's happened to you, especially considering your great reputation as a guest. How last-minute are we talking here? If you're searching for an Airbnb home, you can use the "Instant Book Only" filter to see if there's anything you can grab without having to wait for approval. But this would be quite a long shot for same-day or next-day bookings, as it takes a lot of turnover time to prepare for a large group.

In these situations, the group usually needs to agree on where their best point of flexibility is - location, travel dates, or sleeping arrangement - and expand the search criteria accordingly. If the solution is ultimately to split up into two or more homes in the same area, but still hold gatherings in one place, be sure to ask the host whether that's permitted before booking it. Hotels are generally more permissive on that front than Airbnbs.
