Making alterations to a property

Hello fellow hosts… I have six month renters in my Florida home and they’re asking to install a bidet in both the bathrooms. He is a licensed plumber and  he knows how to install correctly. I did say no because they can cause water damage. They are pushing back and saying they will remove it prior to leaving in May and I will never know it was there. I still feel like they should not be making alterations to the property. Any suggestions?

@Claire2482. As a landlord I would continue to say absolutely no. I have had tradies rent who were qualified in their trades, but as I explained to them, its my insurance and property on the line so I got my own trades with their own insurances and guarantees to do the work, bill me and its all claimable.

And you dont know how the waterproofing can be impacted until often years later...

If they wanted to stay somewhere with a bidet then they should have booked somewhere with one @Claire2482

Just say they can't do this as it would invalidate your STR home insurance.

I have a bidet.  I bought it on Amazon last year for I think $60, my husband (not a plumber) installed as the reviews said in about 10 minutes and it has worked great,  I bought for my other bathrooms.  I am not sure why a plumber is making sound complicated.  Look on Amazon.
