swaps or short term home exchange

I'm interested in a short term rental exchange , hosts swapping bookings of comparable value, wherein I could have a place to stay in New Orleans for approx 5 nights the end of Dec. I have been a host (with the badges 🙂 for over ten years. We have a spacious cabin of two bedrooms, living room, full kitchen, gas & wood burning stoves, in the SW Va. Blue Ridge.  (Search in ABB for Kalkoen Cabin, Troutdale, VA)

First, a question on process: I saw someone doing a similar agreement and mentioned something " submitted"...must hosts submit something to AirBB, or do we simply self-organize our exchange? I am interested in a straight swap or mutual discounts via special offers (say 35- 75%); visits would not necessarily need to be on the same dates...I'm flexible for booking dates on our end.
