Additional Requirements on the minimum stays please

Hello,

my partner and i are going away between the 5-12th September. We usually have a minimum two night stay on our listing, but we set an additional requirement between 5-12th September to be 5 nights minimum.

We then received a booking for 4-6th September for two days. My understanding is as this falls within the additional requirement days, the listing should not have appeared on her search. Airbnb are saying because one of the days is not between the additional requirement, it is valid and if we cancel we will receive a penalty.

I've not been in this position before. Does anyone who has have any advice?

The system only checks the minimum stay required on the check-in date selected. So Airbnb is right. Setting a min. stay for 5-12 september does not act as a wall, so you need to make additional settings on the dates before the 5th to prevent getting bookings you don't want.
