Airbnb says my location isn't exact enough. What do I do?

Hi I am trying to add a new listing. I live in rural Ireland where addresses are not simple number and street etc. My full address is simply the village I live in and my eircode (postcode). I can't continue with the listing as I simply get that the location isn't exact enough. What do I do? Thanks

Maggie

@Maggie58  Your street doesn't have a name and your house doesn't have a number at all?

No this is rural Ireland. I have an eircode which denotes the exact location of my house.

@Maggie58  To whom does it denote the exact location? Mail delivery? How would guests find your place?

You may just have to make something up.

This is my postal address and official address. My post gets delivered here, my official documents are registered here, satnav brings people here. If I give a false address it misleads people.

@Maggie58  Then I guess you'll have to contact Airbnb customer service to see how you can get your listing up without a street name and number. Or if you know of any other listings in your area, contact those hosts to see if they had the same issue and how they resolved it.

@Maggie58  call customer service and give them your exact GPS location, I am pretty sure it will work

I have a rental on the island of Ambergris Caye and we do not have names for the streets on the northern part of the island.  I am 4.5 miles away from the only town on the island which is on the southern part.  I use 4.5 Miles North Ambergris as my address and it works fine.

We have the same problem.

When we set up our listing, the setup simply had you point to a place on the map. From there, Airbnb would attempt to resolve a postal address.

As in your case, we also have no postal address, so Airbnb created one about 2km away. Clearly, guests were getting lost.

So, we explain this in the directions text on our listing, and give the proper google maps link in it. By the way, we offer driving directions too, but everybody just uses the Google Maps link. It's much easier than following a list of instructions.

And besides that, it's standard procedure for us to send the Google Maps link the day before their arrival. It seems to work fine so far.
