As @Helen3 said many hosts have listed their WiFi speed on their listing and even done the speed test for their listing which allows Airbnb to say what the speed was measured at.
You can always inquire prior to booking to confirm and many people do make their phone a hotspot for iffy situations (a storm that makes WiFi not reliable, being in the countryside, etc.)
For the recommendation you suggested, it is best to submit that suggestion to Airbnb through their feedback option on the app or platform. While they do not respond directly to you, I’ve been told they do read all the feedback. I’ve submitted feedback and it was addressed in an update while others I’ve been hoping maybe they would address sometime in the future. Sometimes it is a numbers game, if enough people complain or mention something then they tend to take notice of those issues more.
