Becoming a Co host without being a superhost

I am already a co host and I am a Super Host with my own property, however a friend of mine wants to be a co host in Altrincham, Cheshire UK, but doesn't know if this is possible, as she is not a HOST.... anyone out there know?

warm regards

@Sue2479 anyone can be added to a listing as a co host. The problem your friend might have is giving hosts confidence that they know what they are doing.

Thank you!

I guess it's tricky to find someone to be a Co host with...

As on platform you must be a superhost!

Thanks for your response

Hi Sue,

Your friend can become a co-host on Airbnb without having prior hosting experience. The primary host can invite her to co-host their listing by following these steps:

  1. Log in to Airbnb and navigate to the hosting dashboard.
  2. Select the listing they want to add a co-host to.
  3. Click on "Co-hosts" in the listing's menu.
  4. Enter your friend's email address and send the invitation.

Once invited, your friend will need to accept the invitation and complete Airbnb's identity verification process. Afterward, she can assist with various hosting tasks as agreed upon with the primary host.

Note that Airbnb's Superhost status is awarded to the primary listing owner based on their hosting performance. If your friend is a co-host, the Superhost badge will not appear on their profile or the listings they manage. This distinction ensures that Superhost evaluations and recognitions are tied to the primary host's account and not to co-hosts.

I hope this helps.

All the best,
