Description Editor: Interaction with Guests.

In the description editor, there are five sections, one of which is "Interaction with Guests," located between "Guest Access" and "Other Details to Note."

I added some text there, but when I view my property as a guest, this section doesn’t appear. Where is it displayed?

Until I figure it out, I removed the text from that section and moved it to "Other Things to Note."

Be sure not to include important information in the "Interaction with Guests" section, as guests might not see it.

I can't find it in the guest view either! Let's see if someone else takes up the challenge and finds it ...

I can't find it either. Did this recently change?

@Meredith260

It used to appear to guests, but several software releases ago, they added a new Host profile format. Since then, it no longer appears.

That's kind of crazy as I do list some very pertinent information in there an am now in a dispute (for the first time in 5 years) with a guest over something that would've been clear from that description.

@Meredith260

Since this changed several software releases ago, it probably would have been good to add whatever you previously had here to guest messages and in the Other Details section of the property description. Probably not a bad idea to add to Addl House Rules if it was important enough.

Will do for sure. Thank you for your help. Question, are you aware of airbnb giving  any notice to hosts of this section getting deleting from the listing? Because I still see it in my listing editor.

@Meredith260

No...no notification to Hosts that I'm aware of....as with alot of other things they change and don't notify Hosts.

Thank you Joan! I appreciate your responses. You've been so helpful. 🙂
