Guest Reviews Airbnb

I have had 97 reviews at a 5 star then someone gave us a 4 star on 3 out of 5 because she didn't like our quite hours. I tried protesting to Airbnb as an irrelevant review because she chose to stay there knowing the quite hours if she read our house rules. They denied to take it down based on her experience.

I feel like Airbnb does not back up their host.

Hi @Julian1908 👋

I'm so sorry to read about this. It's been a short while since you posted and I wondered if you heard anything further from customer support about this?

They have denied my protest 3 times. But if the person that gave the bad review calls Airbnb to take down their own review Airbnb will gladly do it and vice versa.

Sorry bad experience.

Airbnb can not remove a review because Host or Guest does not agree with star rating.

The review did not say anything negative but the Guest's Personal Opinion rated below 5 stars.

I would just post a public reply to their Review and mention your quiet hours are clearly shown on the listing and it's unfortunate the Guest did not review that before booking, as if they didn't find the quiet hours acceptable, they could have booked another stay. Many Airbnb's are homes in residential areas and we want to be respectful of neighbors. I would also offer that most Hosts set Quiet Hours of 10-11pm-8-9am out of respect for their neighbors. I would also suggest since this is important to them, they should always review the House Rules (which include Quiet Hours) BEFORE booking a stay, and it's unfortunate they gave a low star rating when this information was available to them before booking.

If they didn't want to abide by the quiet hours (as most Airbnbs have them) a hotel stay might have been a better option for them.
