Hi all - we are new hosts and our unit is a nice basement studio. We live upstairs and have a 2 year old daughter. She's usually out of the house most days at daycare, but does wake up usually around 6/630 AM and moans/cries a bit. You can hear it from downstairs but it is muffled and with fans or air filter on it is VERY faint. We've also had family/friends stay downstairs and have reported they couldn't hear her or at least it didn't wake them.
We are up front in our listing about the fact that noises may be heard. I'm wondering if anyone has suggestions about making it even more evident so guests don't miss this information while booking. Last thing I want is a bad review because someone didn't realize the potential for noise. We have our very first booking in 2 days, any and all recommendations welcome!
I would move your daughter to the room with the best sound isolation and sleep with her. So that when she starts crying, I would take her out of the home , i.e to the backyard or another place where her noises won't be heard.
If she starts crying after 6AM, I feel like it could be okay, since your quiet hours are between 9PM to 6AM.
But if she starts crying BEFORE 6AM, this is an issue, and you would possibly need to bring her to the backyard / front porch etc.
