Hi All!
April here, I am a super host based out of Flagstaff, AZ. My husband and I have been hosting on Airbnb for over a year and have 214 reviews with a 5 star overall rating. You could imagine my surprise when I woke up this morning to both listings suspended. We were very puzzled until Airbnb support let me know an email was sent the day prior. In the email, it stated I had affiliations with a person who violated the terms of Airbnb. Mind you, I have not spoken to this person (ex boyfriend) in over fives years or had any stays with him on Airbnb. He had never been to our listing and I have not helped him book on Airbnb either.
Come to find out, he is using my phone number on his Airbnb without my permission. I cannot find anywhere on my account where he is affiliated.
A community support specialist emailed me asking to confirm the following: **
I have emailed “**” with community support six times and have had zero response. I confirmed the information above, but have heard nothing from her. I have also called Airbnb support four times to “escalate” the issue.
It is very frustrating as a super host to have your listing suspended due an individual using your phone number and violating Airbnb’s terms even though you were not a guest on the reservation and have not had any contact in over five years. Our listings are still suspended and every time I call, I get the same answer… “ We will escalate the issue…” We also have a vacancy tonight and are unable to book it out due to this wrongful suspension.
Any tips??
@Catherine-Powell
