Local business promotion

I didnt see this in the "rulebook" but could we charge local business to mention them specifically in our listings? and if so, what are the going rates for advertising?

We do it for free and they treat our Airbnb guests that much better.

@Mena490 Do it for free and the goodwill you will generate in the community might stop your town banning short term rentals.

@Mike-And-Jane0 Great idea.

@Mena490 Negotiation has to be done by you.

I'm really uncomfortable with that as a concept @Mena490

1. Unless you have tens of thousands of visitors who are the local businesses target market  you're unlikely to be able to offer anything you can charge for

2.most hosts recommend businesses because they have used the business and value what they offer not because they want to generate revenue

what would add value for your guests is to negotiate a discount or special offer with your favourite places which are likely to be of interest to your guests

anyway it's pretty academic you can't embed links into your listing .

Hi @Mena490 ,

Welcome to the Airbnb Community Center!

Did you get a chance to have a look at our members' suggestions?

Although it is a great idea to promote local businesses, we would love to hear what you decided on eventually.
