Hello, I am trying to determine how to set multiple rule-sets for a specific period with various minimum night stay requirements with the rates increasing or staying the same.
For instance - 3 Night stay would increase 30%. 4 Night stay would increase 20%. But, 6 night stay would NOT increase from the base nightly rate.
I have been successful creating rule-sets, but not successful in having rule-sets overlap the same dates. I don't want to set the highest rate that I want to charge for 3 nights and therefore offer a discount for a longer stay.
Thank you!
You can only apply 1 ruleset to a specific date or time period. it will always overrule other (custom) settings.
You can set multiple disscounts in 1 rule set (section length-of-stay discounts), but longer stays must have same or higher discount percentage then offered on shorter stays.
It is not logical discount percentages decrease when stays are longer.
Hi @Emiel1 , thank you for your thoughts. I spoke to support and they informed me of the same result. For now I have several rule-sets and hope for the best! The support ambassador stated they would put in my suggestion for the developers. I doubt I will see this functionality exist in the future.
All the best,
Natalie
Well the developers didn't listen. Still doesn't allow multiple rule sets like other booking platforms. Very poor from Airbnb.
Hello, I am having the same problem but for a different reason.
I am trying to set Christmas and New Year periods to get 1 booking for both holidays.
Using the "No checkout" rule has been semi-successful however, I need to add another layer of rules.
The Airbnb calendar won't allow me to "Layer" rules, it's very frustrating.
2nd Problem: No checkout rule set won't allow 7-day rule (only 6 days).
To get around this I have to create 2 rules sets.
1. No checkout Monday to Saturday
2. No checkout on Sunday
Maybe someone could offer a better solution:
My goal is to only receive reservation requests that will include Christmas and NY.
Surely what I am trying to do should be simple, it's a very basic principle but I am struggling to make it work with the available calendar rules.
Hi Paula
Thanks for the reply.
This morning I spent another hour trying a different rule strategy.
CHRISTMAS & New Year Rule sets:
1. " X-mas 25th ":No check-out & 7-night min stay
2. "Dec 26 to 31": No Check-In & Out (Thursday to Tuesday)
Min night scaled from 6-nights, 5, 4, 3, 2
3. "NY - no check-in"
This will only allow a reservation that starts 25th or earlier and ends on 1st or later.
