I have been a host on Airbnb for about a year, achieving Superhost status every quarter. I have received over 50 five-star reviews and maintained an average rating of 4.94. None of my guests have ever left unsatisfied with their stay.
On August 6, 2024, my account was suspended without any explanation. I only discovered this when a guest messaged me about their reservation being canceled. I immediately submitted a support request and called Airbnb several times.
The next day, August 7, 2024, I received an email from Trust and Safety Specialist stating that my account would no longer be supported and that there was no obligation to explain the actions taken against my account.
Since I started hosting on Airbnb, I have never violated any community guidelines. Despite numerous guests asking to pay outside of Airbnb, I have always informed them that payments must be made through the platform. You can review all my messages or I can provide proof if necessary.
In early 2024, the Republic of Turkey issued a new regulation requiring permits to list properties on platforms like Airbnb. I applied for this permit immediately in January and was one of the first to obtain it. I have also integrated into all legal processes, including reporting identities to the police system.
While I go above and beyond to ensure guest satisfaction, including shopping for them, I have never accepted payments outside of Airbnb and have strictly adhered to all legal requirements. The suspension of my account without any explanation deeply saddens me and is a great injustice.
If there is a valid reason for the suspension of my account and if I have violated any rules, I accept the closure of my account. However, I would like to know the reason, as this situation seems absurd to me.
Please respond to me regarding this matter. I want to continue providing the best experience for guests on Airbnb.
