I'm hoping someone can assist with a recent issue I have experienced. My airbnb listing (which is not new) when searched via a browser shows my listing in Spanish not English. I can change this to view but it's not ideal if guests try to do a google search.
I have checked my airbnb settings which are all set to English as are my browser settings.
If I view my listing via the airbnb app I have no issue, its always English. I have contacted airbnb who indicate this is not something they can assist with (they have checked my language setting).
Any suggestions would be appreciated.
Thank you

I see your advertisement in English.
The language in which an Airbnb listing is shown to a guest is the language that the guest has set in their Airbnb account. If the guest has not set their language, the listing will be shown in the language that is most commonly spoken in the area of the listing.
@Leesa25 it is in English when I view it. Have you clicked on the globe (top right) on Airbnb.com and checked the language and currency are correctly set for your browser?
Perhaps this is the same issue that’s going on with mine but at least mine is simply put mine as Irish.

I’m trying to get to the bottom of mine and Airbnb support don’t know. If you find out do let me know.

I'm having the same problem! So annoying! Airbnb support not helpful so far.
Did you ever resolve your's?
Hello @Emily2385
I have just been on your listing and it is showing in English so nothing to worry about😊
If I click on the globe that appears on the main Airbnb search page next to "switch to hosting" - you can change the language from the drop menu that appears to see the listings in any given language.
I often click back and forth between French and English and this allows me to see listings in either language but my default language is going to be French as my listing is in France (Airbnb.fr) So when I go onto your dreamy listing😍, I see it in French.
Hi there, thanks for sharing, but I think the issue is in a web browser search, not in the Airbnb app or website. I posted a photo below of the issue I believe three of us are having. Can confirm all my Airbnb settings are correct. English/Australia/Canberra time zone, yet the search result is Airbnb Mexico. It happens in the safari, but not the Chrome browser.
Oh gosh, me too. It happens in Safari on all my devices. I'm the top search result but the URL is .mx The results for other airbnbs are all in English.
I tried the same search ("Airbnb + Listing name + town") in google chrome and it came back in English. I cannot figure this out and it is driving me insane. The fixes suggested in this thread don't unfortunately address the issue. At my end, I suspect it is the Airbnb listing source code being incompatible with Safari web browser on my phone, ipad, macbook, but the Airbnb superhost ambassador actually refused to escalate it to tech. I'm now online tryiing everything I can think of. There is a glitch somewhere.
Me too did you find a solution? It only happens on Safari web browser for me. First result is Airbnb dot mx (Chrome returns English result). I put a bit more info in response to @Emily2385 below.
Me again 🙂 I think it is something to do with the Airbnb source code. I had a look and searched for "mx". The following code affects the landing page (what you see when you google search): },"referral_banner_as_first_item_on_profile_tab_mx"
Problem is, the Airbnb support ambassador is still refusing to refer me to tech. Like point blank refusing and insisting i keep using airbnb.mx (which i am not) I believe there is a programming error in the listing source code. How to get it fixed? Only Airbnb can fix it. I will keep searching and make another call to get a different support person.
I thought I was going crazy too! All my settings are correct, and of course my actual listing is totally fine. But it's just when you do a Google search. And it had the same fault across different browsers i.e. Mozilla, Safari, etc. Finally got Airbnb support to escalate it. They recognised it as a problem but I have not had an update from them for a week or so. So I don't know where it is at. Hopefully they can fix it because it is a little bit annoying
