New listing not showing? What could be the reason?

I just made a new listing for a place I am prepping to rent. As I am not yet ready to welcome guests, I blocked off this entire March. Could that be the reason it is not showing when I switch to travelling? I was hoping to get it critiqued, so that's why I was looking for it as traveler for a link so other hosts here can see it.

Your listing is now live and bookable from April onwards!  We can go onto each others listings by clicking  on our photo that shows up here and then by selecting "see Airbnb profil".

Ok - but why can I not find it when I switch to traveler and search my town or the nearest big town?

Ok, I found it when I typed my arrival and departure in April, but it's not listed to the public in March, is that the way Airbnb works that it does not show listings when they are not available?
