Setting the weekend to two day minimum, questions

Hello All, I have pretty much been reading everything I can on the community forum to address any issues that I have with our listings and so far it has really helped, so for that I want to say THANK YOU! But I have a question about setting the minimum stay on weekends, it is not as straight forward as it should be. I want the weekend only to have a 2 night min and the week can be one night. I could have swore that somewhere I saw that it gave me the option to just click a two night minimum for weekends, but I can't find it anywhere. It was a little option at the bottom (somewhere) that said, "require two night minimum stay?" but I can't find it now! Maybe the app updated and they took it down?? Anyways, I did what some other hosts suggested in another topic and manually went in and made season requirements for every weekend up to January. I have four listings together so it was time consuming. This is what I did: I went to the calendar and clicked the gear icon and set a seasonal requirement. I started on a Friday and ended on a Sunday and set it to two days minimum. My questions is this: If a guest tries to book those dates and they want to check in on Friday then they would need to book Saturday. If they check in on Saturday they would also be booking a Sunday night, too. BUT if a guest wanst to just stay on Sunday, do they have to also book Monday????? Do I need to go back in and just select the Friday and Saturday for the 2 night minimum? Ugh, if airbnb has so much money why can't they make things easier......

You must think in nights, not days.

Your min stay for 2 nights affects booking for Fridaynight and Saturday night. So it must be applied to only those dates (Friday,Saturday). When booking on Sunday, it is then as normal  (1 night)

These is another option if you want this to be general:

- goto "availibilty" menu, section "trip details", section "trip lenght"

- choose: "Customise minimum stay requirements by day of week"

- set minimum stay for each day of the week

Thank you Emiel! Yes that answers my question about the Sunday night stays, thank you! I tried setting the trip length like that but then there are occasions where I have a single night available on Saturday because guests checked out on Saturday and I want that day to be available for a one night stay. When I had the settings as you suggested in trip length, there was no way to override this setting to make that particular Saturday available. Is that correct?

Emiel Thanks for your advice.  In light of it, do you think it makes any  difference  in the amount of bookings you receive?
