Hello, I have exhausted every which way on getting this resolved and I am feeling so defeated by I came across this forum and am hopeful I can receive some help.
i am needing someone to point me in the right direction for someone I can reach out to in regards to a property of mine that had been on a previous account that I had hosted with nothing but great reviews for a few years until I had gotten a cancer diagnosis last July and had to stop posting for a few months and then those few months the cohost wasn’t able to keep up and there were some cancellations and bad reviews.
I had gotten advice from a Airbnb rep in themselves telling me I could make a new business account and start fresh.
however before moving to a new account, I had a new property listed that has never been stayed in by guests.
I put all of my savings and money into this property. It was a full renovation and it’s about a 5,500 sqft home, near downtown Pittsburgh. Due to the city of Pittsburgh I had a cease / desist which I had to take care of and wasn’t able to host and then also had some renovation and other issues that were out of my control that led to needing to cancel reservations, but with all of these, I had provided documentation proof and was found to be not held liable for the cancellations.
Upon re-listing onto my other profile had about $50-$60,000 in bookings confirmed for this summer and a lot of excited guests and a few months after posting that I get notification just a few weeks ago that they are going to remove my listing because of it being a duplicate listing, but I have been under the impression that the old account had been removed and shut down because that’s what I was told, but after finding out that it had not been I sent in all of the documentation and screenshots that I could think of and keep getting told the same thing over and over again, but I truly do feel like they’re not looking over the documentation because like I said, the old property shouldn’t have been deactivated in the first place cause I had proof for each time I had a cancellation and that it was out of my control and I just really do need help because as of yesterday they went through and canceled all of my summer reservations, and all of these people are distraught because there are no more properties of the size that mine are in the local area and also because it’s my main source of income and I don’t not know what to do and I feel so helpless .
