Unauthorized party error

Unauthorized party error

So I tried to book a place on Airbnb but I getting an error. Contacted Airbnb and they reponded that I am blocked from  renting a house cause I'm a risk for party.  I am 45 and have not partied since 1999. The only time I rented thru Airbnb was last July for me and my 12 year old and no issues with the owner...  Crazy.  They said the decision can not be reversed. It's so crazy that they want to lose money.  But I feel bad for the owners of the rentals cause they are losing so much money..

@Meagan108 With a bit of luck someone like @Quincy might be able to get Airbnb to look at this again although I suspect the trust and safety team are a law unto themselves. I do find it sad though that you have not partied since you were 20. Surely partying doesn't stop at 20 does it?

Prince reference...lol the song not your guys prince.lol . .let's just say that I haven't partied to the point that would be justifiably be flagged by Airbnb for at least 20 years. I'm old...lol

Hi Megan,

I agree with @Mike-And-Jane0,

There seems to be multiple obviously glitches going on in all spectrums of AirBnB and would hope the management team can set these strange type of events in order or at least have a valid explanation.  I question why some things are so taboo while other things just seem to sneak by.

Possibly a few repeated calls as that has worked for me with other companies, if who I talk to gives me a ludicrous answer, I just call back , usually times several times until my problem in resolved. I would say this works 99% of the time.

If all else fails I would write the CEO Brian Chesky and ask him directly.

Hope things get better for you.
