I’m extremely disappointed and frustrated with the lack of support I’ve received from Airbnb. I have had to explain the same issue over 30 times to various support agents over the past few months, and there has been no meaningful investigation or resolution.
Here’s the situation:
- I followed all local regulations and obtained the required short-term rental license, just as I have done in previous years.
- I submitted the license through Airbnb’s platform, following their process.
- Despite this, my listing has been restricted to bookings of over 29 nights. The system failed to update my listing properly.
- I contacted Airbnb support, and they told me the issue was being passed to a specialist. After days of waiting, I was told Airbnb was waiting for city approval.
- I contacted the city twice, and both times they confirmed that the license was approved and there were no issues on their end.
- I was repeatedly told by Airbnb managers and support agents that it was a system glitch, and I was asked to wait for various periods—7 days, 3 days, 48 hours, and even 24 hours. After four weeks of the same empty promises, still nothing has been resolved.
- To make matters worse, every time I call, I am forced to repeat the entire story, only to hear the same scripted responses. I even documented each communication and asked for the agents’ names, but when I call back, it’s like these people don’t even exist.
It’s now been over four months since this issue started, and Airbnb support has provided no real answers or solutions. This level of service is completely unacceptable. Airbnb needs to take responsibility, fix their system, and provide real customer support.
