I am getting a number of inquiries from people with no government ID and no reviews. Also, it says they just joined Airbnb this month. I am not comfortable allowing bookings with so little information. Am I looking at this wrong? Does everyone get a lot of inquiries like this? Am I being targeted because I am new? I would welcome any input. Thanks so much.

Thank you for your suggestions. I don't mind as much if they don't have previous reviews, but when there is no ID that can be verified, that seems strange.
Hi @Charles1338 !
I don't think you're necessarily being targeted as a new host. You can certainly make it a minimum requirement of yours that only guests with a confirmed ID would be able to book with you and/or have previous reviews. I'm a new host as well, and I'm still trying not to get too nervous about those who are new to the Airbnb community. I remind myself that we all started with zero reviews, and I just try to communicate with them as much as I can and get specific responses to things like "Please reply with your acknowledgement of the house rules".
Recently, I sent the message below to a future guest of mine whose Airbnb profile was created in Mar 2022. He's in his 20s and who booked my house for 3 nights for a group of friends going on vacation. His ID, email, and phone have been verified by Airbnb. I've already accepted his booking but reached out to touch base and ask if anything's changed in his reservation.
"I like to establish a rapport with my guests, and since you're new to Airbnb I'd encourage you to complete your profile so that I, and future hosts, can know a bit more about you. Perhaps you've stayed at Airbnb properties with family or other groups before, but if not, I'm happy to clarify anything related to our house rules or how Airbnb works (security deposits, guest/host reviews, cleaning fees, etc.) to set you up for a great start on your Airbnb journey.
Hope to hear from you!"
His reply? "Nothing has changed, thank you" - which has been typical of his responses, but he does always reply back. His booking is not until June, and I will continue to drop messages leading up to his stay to coax more info out him, like the full names of everyone, whether they plan to use the grill, their plans in the neighborhood (and share my guidebook), and also remind them of some house rules (like No parties).
Thank you for your input and your suggestions. I realize that everyone has to start off with no reviews. My main concern is when there is no ID that can be verified. I have been renting properties long term for many years and switching to airbnb is a huge adjustment for me.
You are right to stick with your booking criteria. When you get an inquiry from someone who doesn't meet your requirements, just inform them that they need to update their profile and provide some details about their planned stay before you can make a booking decision. A new listing gets a boost in the search results standing. So, you are getting a lot of inquiries, because of the heightened visibility.
