AirBnB rules regarding pricing.

Hello Community !

There are listings that look like this:

Upfront the guests first see a price and for how many guests. In this example 6.

Later on within the listing it will state that the price is only good  for 4,  which suddenly

makes the price 50 % higher for the group of 6.

Is this in line with Airbnb rules and regulations ?

Thank you in advance for any answer.

Best regards,

                                     Olof

@Olof18 If you put in your dates and number of people travelling you will, certainly in Europe, get the true price of the property displayed.

@Olof18  Many listings have a base price for a certain number of guests and extra guest fees for more up to the max guest count. This is done not to be in any way deceptive, but so that if, say, there are only four guests who want to book a place listed for up to 6 or 8, it is still affordable for the 4 guests, and for the host the booking would incur less expenses for 4 than for 6 or 8.

The extra guest fees normally cover more laundry, more cleaning, more utility usage, more things provided like toilet paper, soap and shampoo, coffee, etc.
