AirCover ignore, do not answer the mail and phone

Hello. I rented my house through Airbnb to a company of 3 for one night. The next day, when I arrived to check the house, I was shocked by the damage caused to me. Three guests were having a party at the house. As a result, in my house there was a mountain of garbage not removed, they smoked in the house, the whole house smelled of cigarettes, Cigarettes were everywhere, a broken TV, a broken door, a sofa and parquet were burned with a cigarette. The amount of damage is 5624 EURO. I wrote my complaint to the guest. The guest told me that he had no money. I created an appeal to Aircover, they answered me once to my mail and no one contacted me anymore, they don’t answer my messages, when I open a chat with airbnb they close it and say that they will write to you by mail. AirCover are scammers who do not fulfill their obligations!!!

@Barri47  I'm very sorrry this happened to you, but unfortunately you can't rely on Airbnb to make sure you don't get partiers or to reimburse you for extra cleaning or damages. Hosts need to vet their guests well before accepting a booking, and pay attention to what is going on at the property.

I would suggest you snooze your listing and edit it. You have no listing description whatsover and have written nothing about the place, you have no house rules saying no parties, and your price is absurdly cheap. $24/night for 5 people? All you are going to attract is riffraff.

Your place looks cute, but you need to advertise it properly and word your description to market towards the type of guests the place will be suitable for.

Look at other listings to see how to write a listing description and convey necessary information.

This is why "AirCover" should be discontinued. It gives so many novice hosts the idea that they can just throw up a totally vague, sloppy ad on a listing site with just a few minutes of effort, give a bunch of strangers keys to their house, and a big fat check for thousands of bucks will magically come their way when the home inevitably gets trashed.

@Barri47  I'm sure you're not a scam artist, but can you not see how lucrative it would be for such people if Airbnb actually worked like this? Why wouldn't I just create a listing, get a friend to book it for $24, invite a bunch of other friends for a party, and demand that Airbnb pay me $5624 for the "damage"? I could get rich running cons like that, pretending to be too stupid to keep control over my own house over and over again. But alas, it's already been done, and they do have some barriers against this kind of con job. So you actually do have to do your part, have a real insurance for your business (as opposed to Airbnb's fake insurance), and keep an eye on your own house.

Heck, 5 homeless drug addicts could manage to collect $24 in spare change between them in a couple hours.

@Sarah977  And Finland is an extremely expensive country. I won't say how I know this, but in Helsinki $24 is just barely enough to buy a wet, crumbled Ecstasy pill or 2 terrible beers.
