Airbnb missed charging tax to guest

Has anyone else experienced this? I have tax set up to be collected, and it's been working fine with every booking except one recently. I had no choice but to contact Airbnb, knowing it's not going to help. "Thank you for patiently waiting, I'm forwarding your inquiry to a member of our team who can better assist you. They'll be getting in touch with you soon." Yeah right, I know how that goes. Meanwhile, the guest will have come and gone before I get to the bottom of it. I don't want to hassle the guest to pay up and I'm hoping it's just a one off glitch, so will let it go, but I'm concerned it will keep happening.

@Brian2036 Honestly, it just defies belief, the nonsense they dish out. If it HAD been an unintentional change by me turning tax collection off (which it couldn’t possibly be anyway, as one would have to go through some pretty deliberate steps), then the subsequent bookings wouldn't have been charged tax either.

Update. Airbnb came back again and admitted this was due to a system error. They will be reimbursing me. Happy with that! Thank you Airbnb.
