Hello Fellow Airbnb Hosts in the Battery Point Community,
We all know how blessed we are to own vacation homes in Savannah. We are an important component of the local economy and add value to the neighborhood.
Unfortunately, many local homeowners have a negative view of what we do. If our rental homes make headlines, it is usually something negative. Let’s face it, some of our guests are… less than ideal?
Imagine there was a way we could transform our reputation and demonstrate to the community that we are, indeed, a valuable asset. Doing so would give the local voices something positive to talk about.
It’s time to take action. We have formed a coalition of short-term rental owners in Battery Point who are willing to give back to the community, and we need your help.
Right now, the Battery Point Lagoon and Wildlife Care Group is trying to finance the upkeep of the lagoons and surrounding easements. They are the ones who pick up the endless litter, mow the grass, and keep the water from being covered with a thick, green slime.
Without the efforts of this group, our lagoons would be disgusting. If you don’t believe me, check out the before and after photos on our Facebook group page “Battery Point Host Coalition”
Our coalition’s first act will be a group donation to this fundraiser. All donations are announced publicly on the Battery Point Lagoon & Wildlife Care Facebook page, which consists of hundreds of the most dedicated and outspoken members of the community.
This simple act will go a long way towards transforming our reputation and demonstrating that we are a valuable asset to the Battery Point community.
If you’re willing to join forces with us, go to our Facebook group “Battery Point Host Coalition” and pledge now. It’s important to get the instructions on the host coalition page so that your donation has maximum impact!
