Custom promotion does not stack with weekly discount?

Hello,

I have weekly 5% and monthly 7% discounts enabled in my Airbnb listing.

I have created Custom promotion in my calendar for specific dates, for example June 6-9th I set 15% discount.

If I check calendar as a guest with June 6-9th selected I see 15% discount which is as expected.

However if as a guest I would choose a week long stay, lets say June 6-13th, it would show me only my 5% weekly discount which I offer.

I do not understand logic behind this. Why Custom promotion discounts is not stacked with weekly/monthly discounts which are set permanently?

If I offer 15% for some specific dates so it doesn't matter if a guest books for 3nights, 7nights or 2 weeks, or whatever, in my understanding these dates should be 15% discounted..

Does custom promotion is stacked with weekly/monthly discount for your listings?

You need to set the custom promotion time for a longer time period. Airbnb recommends minimal 7 nights to be effective anyway. When set less then 7 nights the weekly discount will overrule the promotion discount.

@Emiel1, but if I set custom promotion 20% discount for some days in the middle of the week. Then a guest who would stay 3 nights would get much bigger discount than a guest who would stay for a week.

This seems odd to me.. because then what is the point allowing to set custom promotions even for 1 night if it's disabled for a week or longer stays..
