Excessive service fees

Airbnb seem to have increased guest service fees by a couple of percentage points without any form of communication or explanation.

Airbnb are now charging guests and hosts fees totalling around 20% of my daily rate! This seems excessive and will chase customers away.

The fee structure is rather vague and discretionary and it would be more professional if they were transparent and were fixed at a particular rate instead of the current policy of publishing an approximate, more or less bunch of fees that keeps everyone in the dark!

Where did you see the rates are increased ?

If a look at your listing i see the same rates as useal

Please note the host fee is paid by the host, the guest fee by the guest

Both are subject to VAT.

I understand who pays the different fees. To establish how much the guest fee is, someone other than the host can look at the total to be paid when a booking is explored.
