Guest is saying that she is about to be charged for declined booking!

Hi, I recently declined a booking explaining I wanted it to be a longer period as it is in a peak school holiday week. The guest duly rebooked for the longer period, but now is saying that a pending payment for BOTH the declined and the accepted booking is showing in her bank account! Understandably she is concerned about this. Is this just a glitch and will the payment for the declined booking disappear? I am sure Airbnb would not charge twice! But my guest is very worried, and has asked me to reassure her.

Thank you!

Christopher

@Christopher14

It will disappear, the guest should read this:

Why-was-a-hold-placed-on-my-payment-method-when-i-requested-to-book-a-reservation

BTW no need to decline if guest agrees wanting to make other booking with you.

The guest can just retract the request and make a new one.
