HOT taxes in Dallas

I received a letter from the City of Dallas demanding Hotel Occupancy Tax (HOT).  Has anyone else received this letter and how did you prove AIRBNB remitted the taxes on your behalf?

 

I only hosted 2016-2019 and Airbnb started collecting HOT in May 2017.  Any advise would be very helpful Thank you.

Abnb only collects state tax in Texas. There is also a city tax that must be paid. Yes you do owe the tax.
